Authentication Providers
If you sign in with Google or Apple:

If Whitespace is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
4. YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES
4.1 Access and Update
You can access and update your profile information at any time through the app's Settings.
4.2 View Your Data
You can view your:
- Profile information
- Session history
- Accumulated personalization data (user profile history)
- Credit transaction history
4.3 Edit or Clear Personalization
Whitespace accumulates context about you over time to improve personalization. You can:
- View what we've learned about you
- Edit specific details
- Clear your personalization history entirely
This is available in Settings → Privacy → Personalization Data.
4.4 Download Your Data
You may request a copy of your personal data by contacting us at hello@trywhitespace.com.
4.5 Delete Your Account
You can delete your account and all associated data:
- In the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account
- By contacting: hello@trywhitespace.com
Upon deletion:
- Your account and profile are permanently removed
- Your generated sessions are deleted
- Your personalization history is erased
- Transaction records may be retained as required by law
Account deletion is irreversible. Unused credits are forfeited.
4.6 Communication Preferences
You can manage notification preferences in the app's Settings. Note that you cannot opt out of essential service communications (e.g., subscription confirmations, security alerts).
5. DATA RETENTION
5.1 Account Data
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, we remove personal data within 30 days, except as required for legal or business purposes.
5.2 Session Data
Generated sessions are retained until you delete them or your account. You can delete individual sessions at any time.
5.3 Usage Logs
Technical logs are retained for up to 90 days for debugging and security purposes.
5.4 Transaction Records
Purchase and subscription records may be retained for up to 7 years as required for tax and legal compliance.
6. DATA SECURITY
6.1 Technical Measures
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL)
- Encryption of sensitive data at rest
- Secure authentication protocols
- Regular security assessments
- Access controls and monitoring
6.2 Infrastructure
Our infrastructure is hosted on:
- Supabase (AWS-backed, SOC 2 compliant)
- Railway (secure container hosting)
6.3 Limitations
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Whitespace is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
8. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Whitespace is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.
By using Whitespace, you consent to this transfer. We take steps to ensure your data receives adequate protection consistent with applicable laws.
9. YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

You may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources of that information, and how we use and share it.

You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.

9.4 No Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information as defined by the CCPA.

11. APPLE APP TRACKING TRANSPARENCY
11.1 Our Approach
Whitespace does NOT track you across other companies' apps and websites for advertising purposes. We do not:
- Use advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- Share data with advertising networks
- Link your data with third-party data for advertising
11.2 User IDs
We collect user IDs solely for:
- Account management and authentication
- Providing app functionality
- Storing your preferences and sessions
This is NOT "tracking" as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.
12. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when the policy was last revised.
Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
